I worked with Peter & Paul on their brand identity for Dandelion - a community growing music and performance festival happening across the whole of Scotland as part of Unboxed 2022. The theme for the illustrated animations centred around fruit and veg, and growing things sustainably and ethically. Some illustrations were more simple character designs of food and veg, others were more conceptual such as the musical element of the person blowing the vegetable trumpet and the food and earth falling onto the fork.
Centred around the idea that ‘Anything Grows’ this is the biggest, most diverse and ambitious growing project – including a music festival, vertical farm art installations, school partnerships, harvest festivals, a pop up restaurant, unexpected gardens and more. The concept was born of the idea that nature grows in whatever space it’s given – no matter who you are, how old or whether you’ve done this kind of thing before, absolutely Anything Grows.
